She was predeceased by: her parents, John F. Ellis and Vera Ellis; her husband R. C. Thornburg; her stepmother Marie Fancher; her son Ray Thornburg; her son-in-law Mike Morlino; her siblings, Carolyn Ellis Mosley, Jeff Ellis, Billy Ellis, Jimmy Ellis, James Ellis and Jerry Ellis; and her sisters-in-law, Virgie Denton, Mavis Moore, Ann Thornburg, Lois Ellis, Grace Ellis and Martha Ellis.

She is survived by: her daughter Ginger Morlino; her daughter-in-law Melinda Thornburg; her brothers, Kenny Ellis and Bobby Ellis; her siblings-in-law, Bill Thornburg Sr., Ruth Ellis, Corrine Ellis and Vicki Ellis; her grandchildren, Greg Morlino (Misty), Derek Thornburg (Sherry), Kevin Thornburg (Lisa), Dax Thornburg, Mynell Upchurch (Scott), Carlee Rae Thornburg (Perry Rice) and Brent Holliman (Carrie); her niece Dixie Murphy; and her close friend Sandra Upchurch. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
