She was predeceased by: her parents, James Greely Mims and Ruth Evelyn Dees Mims. She is survived by: her children, John Nelms III (Amanda) of Brandon, MS, Angela Caffey (Conner) of Winona, MS and Jennifer Ferguson (David) of Huntsville, AL; and her grandchildren, Tiffany Nelms, Maisyn Barragan, Julionna Barragan, Madison Caffey, Hallie Caffey, Abby Caffey, Jackson Ferguson, Noah Ferguson, Lily Ferguson and Ella Caffey.
