He was predeceased by: his parents, Karlis Gercens and Marija Martinson Gercens; and his brothers, Karlis Gercens, Jr. and Valdis Gercens. He is survived by: his sister Milda McMillan of Barrington, IL; his nephews, Michael William McMillan of Chicago, IL, William Peter McMillan of Deerpark, IL and Karl Gercens, III of Kennett Square, PA; and his pet Bella.
