He is survived by: his wife Carla Mims of Greenwood, MS; his children, Jamey Mims (Julie) of Winona, MS, Johnny Mims of Greenwood, MS, Peggy Jo Tanksley (Jamie) of Greenwood, MS, Loralee Fletcher (Lee) of Carrollton, MS and Shannon Estrada (Michael) of Cookeville, TN; his sister Betty Lindsay of Kosciusko, MS; and his grandchildren, James Alex Mims IV, Justin Mims, Jimmy Mims, Jonah Mims, Joey Mims, Steele Mims, Alex Tanksley, Preston Fletcher, Cole Fletcher, Pierce Fletcher, Kenneth Mims, Wynne Mims, Mary Lindsay Mims, Maggie Jo Smith and Jada Mims. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
