Higdon Herrington Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Higdon Herrington (Greenwood, Mississippi), who passed away on October 15, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Boyd and Ella King Herrington; and his siblings, Billy Herrington, James Preston Herrington and Bobbie Mathis.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Smith Herrington of Winona; his children, Amy Marie Gammel (Dewayne) of Winona and Higdon Boyd Herrington (Andrea) of Chesapeake, VA; and his siblings, Bonita H. Baldwin (Bill) of Wickenburg, AZ, Ella Brorson of Big Fork, Montana, Preston Boyd Herrington, Jr. (Liza) of Albuquerque, NM and Lester Herrington (Jean) of Brandon, MS. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19 the family wishes to have a private service.
Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children's Village, Ahava Ministries, Inc., P.O. Box 247, Winona, MS 38967 (which is trying to meet the physical and spiritual need of children in Guatemala) or the charity of the donor's choice.
