It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwen James of Greenwood, Mississippi, who passed away on April 30, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Knox James; her parents, Toy Denton and May Denton; and her siblings, Darrell Denton, Juanita Crowson, Mary Johnson and Betty Jean Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Bennett of Greenwood and Kerry James (Mary Lynn) of Teoc; her grandchildren, Craig Lawrence James (Kate) of Grenada, Ally Elizabeth Long of Flowood and James Harris Long of Greenwood; her great grandchildren, Easton Knox James of Indianola, Gracen James of Grenada and Cayde Scott James of Grenada; and her brother Bill Denton (Dot) of Oxford. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
