It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Smith Jr. (Greenwood, Mississippi), who passed away on August 24, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Smith and Minnie Brister Smith; and his daughter-in-law Audrey Smith. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Clarke "Margie" Smith; and his children, Charlotte Mitchell (David) of Greenwood, Margaret "Sissy" Burnham (Pete) of Diamondhead, MS, Linda Ahlberg (Ted) of San Antonio, TX, George Smith III (Janis) of Oakgrove, MS and Clarke Smith of Greenwood. He is also survived by nine grandchildren 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's research hospital, American Legion Post #29 or the charity of donor's choice.
