He is survived by: his children, Sherry Smith Leard (Michael Ross Leard), Frank Elmo Smith, Jr. (Hillary) and Earnest Bart Smith (Linda); his siblings, George Smith (Gloria) and Sarah Ann Robinson; his sisters-in-law, Anna Joyce Smith and Sheri Smith; and his grandchildren, Shana Leard Koch (Thurman), Robin Morrison (Jason), Frank "Tripp" Elmo Smith, III (Erin), Elizabeth Anastasia Monica Smith and Patrick Daniel Smith (Jenniffer). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
