He was predeceased by: his parents, Staige Marie and Mavis Jewell Catledge Roberts; his wife Louise Leonard Roberts; and his brothers, Johnny Greer Roberts and Staige Marie Roberts Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Mary Louise "Penny" Hodge of Greenwood, Ellis Henry Roberts "Hank", Jr. of Carrollton and Danny Brice Roberts of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Andrea Michelle Hodge Turner, Forrest Zane Hodge, Staige Ellis Roberts and Cheyenne Elise Roberts; and his sister Mavis Rebecca Roberts Cook of Florence, SC.. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
