It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ednita Ruth Wixon of Greenwood, Mississippi, born in Itta Bena, Mississippi, who passed away on December 4, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her fathers, George Edward Gillespie and Day; and her grandson Daniel Caleb Wixon (Fon Tildon Wixon, Jr.). She is survived by: her spouse Fon Tildon Wixon, Jr. of Cruger, MS; her brother George Gillespie (Jayne Person) of Orange Beach, AL; her children, Toni Tubbs (Buford) of Greenwood, MS, Rynn James and Fon Wixon III (Melanie) of Springhill, TN; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Pearson, Chip Tubbs, Jordan Wixon, Ashley Wixon, Kayleigh Wixon, Caitlyn James and Carmen Coeler (Joel); and her great grandchildren, Sloane and Harley Tubbs. She is also survived by four sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Memorials may be made to North Greenwood Baptist Church/missions and LeBonheur Children's Hospital.
