With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Newcomb McMurchy in Greenwood, Mississippi, born in Urania, Louisiana, who passed away on September 25, 2022 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Newcomb and Sally Newcomb; her siblings, James and Marcelle; her husband Walter Preston McMurchy, Jr.; her children, Nancy and Preston; her granddaughters, Amber Jones (Craig), Aimee Barnett and Pop; and her great grandchildren, Codi Sagraves, Preston Sagraves, Abby Claire Goodwin, Lillie Montgomery and Lainee Montgomery.
