He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Ray and Jewell Greenlee Mitchell; and his son Mitch Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Steed Mitchell; his son Scott Mitchell (Rachel); his daughter-in-law Karen Mitchell; his siblings, Laura Young (Bill), Barbara Fields (Terry), Mary Joseph (George) and David Mitchell (Charlotte); his nephews, Britt Mitchell and Clint; his niece Brooke Reeves; his grandchildren, Meagan Rae Little (Matthew), Mary Britton Nobile (Andrew), Jay Mitchell (Tinsley), Colby Mitchell (Amber), Devin Mitchell (Eric) and Edi-Ann Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Ford Little, Fisher Little, Georgia Little, Nettie Nobile and Hayes Dowell; and his friends, Jerry Galey of Greenwood, Terry Galey of Greenwood and Billy Tate of Greenwood.
