She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Lafayette Barrentine and Olga Beatrice Jones Barrentine; her husband Autry Oates, Sr.; her siblings, Albert Barrentine and Anne Johnson; her stepchildren, Junior Oates (Michelle) of Grenada, MS and Anita Barlow of Tunica, MS; her sister-in-law Faye Barrentine of Greenwood, MS; her nieces, Loretta Storms of Carroll County, MS and Sandra Boatner of Louisiana; her nephew James Barrentine of Greenwood, MS; and her stepgrandchildren, Trey Oates (Kim) of Greenwood, MS and Shae Phillips.
