He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Thorn and Lucille Thorn; his granddaughter Sarah Thorn; his sister Barbara Thorn Howard; and his nieces, Cassandra Thorn and Deborah Thorn Brown.
He is survived by: his daughter Sheila Daniece of Stanley Alan; his wife Janice Jeffreys Thorn; his children, Sheila Thorn Murphree of Tupelo, Stan Thorn (Susan) and Kim Thorn Harris (Ronnie) of Mooreville; his grandson Seth Thorn; his siblings, Reverend Wayne Thorn (Earline) of Mooreville, Merle Thorn (Julie) of Amory and Nella Thorn Jacobson of Ogden, Utah; and his brother-in-law Dennis Howard of Fairmont.
