She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Bryan and Daisy Cook Oakes of Moorhead, Mississippi.; her siblings, Juanita Whatley, Maggie Louise Oakes, Maxine Oakes and Luther Bryan Oakes, Jr.; and her granddaughter Rachel Agnes Hankins.
She is survived by: her daughter Ann Hitchcock of Greenville; her grandchildren, Leland and Jewel Hankins (Al) of Grenada; her siblings, Geneva Oakes Bragg, Donald Wayne Oakes (Sherry) of Indianola and James Wayne Oakes of Grand Bay, Alabama; and her grandchildren, Lyn Johnson Terrell (Mitch), Wendy Way Koenigsberger, Jay Johnson (Kassie), Mandy Hankins McCormick, Dawn Way Bryant (Chad) and Amber Hankins.
Memorials may be made to Moorhead Baptist Church, Moorhead Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to a charity of donor's choice.
