She was predeceased by: her parents, Darnas Hinds and Rich Hinds; her sisters, Gertie Brown and Ruby Taylor (Jake Pope Jr); and her son Bruce Pope.

She is survived by: her sisters, Barbara Nicholas of Chicago, IL and Rosemary Taylor of Downers Grove, IL.; her children, Marian Pope of Greenville, Marvin Pope of Copperas Cove, TX, Craig Pope (Patricia) of Killeen, TX, Vicki Bauldwin of Memphis, TN, Jake Pope (Edlisa) of Raytown, MO., James Bean, Aline Raine of Gurnee, IL. and Arlene Raine of Chicago, IL.; and her sisters-in-law, Margie Price, Eva Pope, Willia Pope of Chicago, IL., Barbara Pope of Rosedale, MS. and Shirley Morrison (Leon) of Cleveland, OH.. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Byas Funeral Home (609 S Broadway St, Greenville, MS 38701). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Mount Zion M. B. Church (1019 Irene St, Greenville, MS 38701).
