He is survived by: his wife Louise Edney of Greenville, MS; his brother Daniel Edney of Vicksburg, MS.; his children, Sabrina Sutherland, Melissa Edney, Joseph Edney Jr. and Jonathan Edney; and his grandchildren, Nick, Connor Sutherland, Leslie Gully, Jacob, Annie Edney, Ryan Shoffner, Christian Gonzalez and Gracie Gonzalez.
Private services will be held for the family, and they have asked that in remembrance donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in his name.
