He was predeceased by: his parents, T. G. Vance and Eva Marie Vance; his son John Patrick Vance; his grandson Stephen Christopher; and his brothers, Gerald Vance, James Donald Vance, Willard Vance and Wallace Vance.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Toler Vance of Greenville; his children, Laura Vance Warner of Greenville, Steve Vance of Greenville and Paul Vance of Biloxi; and his siblings, Carolyn Vance Abney of Tupelo and Larry Vance (Sandra) of Indianola. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
