As Billy Jefferson departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Billy Jefferson may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Billy Jefferson leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Murrie McDaniel and Tressie Thompson McDaniel; and his sister Shelby Burbage. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen McDaniel of Greenville, MS; his children, Hope Wetherington (Gary) of Donalsonville, GA, Cindy Broadway (Randy) of Belzoni, MS, Terry Roberts of Greenville, MS and Gina Manus (Gary) of Greenville, MS; and his brothers, Rev. Ed McDaniel (Libby) of Jackson, MS and Jimmy McDaniel (Nadine) of Hernando, MS. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Boone Funeral Home (905 Main St, Greenville, MS 38701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
