He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Francis and Jenner Rose Taylor Carpenter; and his sisters, LaRose White and Lynda Thames. He is survived by: his son Lester Carpenter (Rebecca) of Gore Springs; his stepson Stephen Jenkins of Memphis; his brother Eddie Carpenter of Gore Springs; his grandchildren, Stephen Carpenter, Christopher Carpenter and Courtney Carpenter; and his great grandchildren, Christopher Carpenter and Payton Carpenter.
