She was predeceased by: her parents, John Cates and Marie Tyer Cates; her husband Richard Harris Turner; her children, Allen Turner, Freddy Turner and Jean Carpenter; and her siblings, John Cates and Elsie Cozby.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherry Vaughn of Madison, MS; and her brother Charles Cates of Southaven, MS. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
