With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Elmo Byrd of Gloster, Mississippi, born in Castor, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 18, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alvin "Dutch" Byrd and Vara Robinette Byrd; his wife Lorena Frazier Byrd; his brothers, Douglas Alvin Byrd, Leslie Thomas Byrd and Jerry Lane Byrd; and his grandparents, William Allen Byrd, Alice Lewis Byrd, Rev. Cleveland Elmo Robinette and Mary Lelia Ayres Robinette.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Byrd Touchstone (Eric Touchstone) of Liberty, Ronald Wayne Byrd (Anna Foster Byrd) of Summit, Robert Wiley Byrd of McComb and Russell William Byrd (Libby Prestridge Byrd) of Osyka; his grandchildren, Matthew Touchstone (Katie), Christian Danielle Touchstone, Courtney Touchstone Nunnery (Curtis), Marlee Renae Touchstone, Erica Lynn Touchstone (Jackson Kirkland), Ryan Wayne Byrd (Nikki), Kayla Byrd Stringer (Channing), Kristen Byrd Burr (Craig), Caleb William Byrd (Ashlyn), Brady Alexander Byrd (Addy) and Carson Frazier Byrd; his great grandchildren, Bennett Touchstone, Carter, Charly Nunnery, LeighAnna, Chloe, Kinsley Byrd, Lainey Grace, Maverick, Dawson, Wrenley Stringer and Ruston Burr; and his sisters, Sharon Byrd Terrell and Lelia Byrd Howard. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
