He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Tynes and Edna Earle Tynes; his daughter Nancy Lynn Tynes; and his brothers, Kenneth Tynes and Tommy Tynes.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Whittington; his children, Patsy Sanders, Tammy Lange, Michael Quinn Tynes (Jeanette) and Donnie Tynes; and his brothers, Marcell Tynes and Paul Tynes. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
