He is survived by: his wife Kathy Hendrix of Glen; his sons, James Ed Hendrix, Jr. of Glen and Johnathan Dale Hartley (Wendy) of Jacinto; and his grandchildren, Johnathan Hartley, Samuel Hartley, Eli Hendrix, Megan Hartley and Grace Hartley.
