He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rutherford and Victoria Wilson Rutherford; his son Monty Rutherford; and his brothers, James Rutherford and Larry Rutherford.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Case Rutherford; his son Marty Rutherford (Deb); his stepdaughter Tracy Neal (Sonny); his sister Linda Bolton (Kelly); and his granddaughter Anna Higginbottom (Dillon). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Donations may be made in Harold's honor to the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS.
