He was predeceased by: his children, William Howard Griffin Jr and Angela Renea Griffin; his parents, Ova M. Griffin, Sr. and Sallie S. Griffin; and his siblings, Ova, Willard Otto, Dolphus, Woodrow Griffin and Mattie Mae Hodges.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Jones Griffin; his sons, Stephen Craig Griffin of Cheyenne, WY, Darrin Bruce Griffin (Shari) of Orlando, FL and Douglas Scott Griffin (Kelly); his siblings, Christine Griffin of Houston, TX, Lowry Griffin, Aubrey Griffin of Long Beach, MS and Elwood Griffin of Amarillo, TX; and his grandchildren, Shelbea, Brandon, Brianna, Kora, Eliot, Reagan, Avery Griffin, Ryan Stokes and Paige Howell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his church, First Baptist Church in Gautier and Southern Hearts Hospice.
