It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Ruth Howard of Gautier, Mississippi, who passed away on September 21, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Walker and Vivian Strickland Walker; her husband Vardaman Howard; her stepfather Ed Johnston; and her siblings, Louise Barnett, Barbara Clark, Stanley Walker, Kenneth Walker and James Walker.

She is survived by: her great grandchild Emmett Fitzgerald Rigby; her granddaughter Kendall Howard; her children, Van Howard (Deb), Vickie Nevels and Vince Howard (Michele); her grandchildren, Brian Nevels, Christopher Howard (Jessy), Mandi Rigby (Brad) and Ethan Howard; and her great grandchild Jamie Paventy.
