She was predeceased by: her parents, Theron Simmons and Maudie Rae Simmons; her husband Currie Locklear; her brother Melvin Simmons; her son-in-law Wayne Thorne; and her brother-in-law Roger Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Ashely Thorne of Vancleave, MS, Derrick Locklear (Christy) of Vancleave, MS and Jared Locklear (Audrey) of Vancleave, MS; her siblings, James Simmons (Rosie) of Pascagoula, MS and Judy Smith of Pascagoula, MS; her grandchildren, Catherine Locklear, Madelyn Brown, Taylor Brown, Collin Locklear, Addison Locklear, Jordan Locklear, Blayke Locklear, Hayden Thorne, Hope Gilliand and Chloe Gilliand; and her great grandchild Hayes Thorne. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
