He was predeceased by: his parents, John McDonald, Sr. and Daisy Edna Clark McDonald; his wife Cora Lousie McDonald; and his siblings, Texie Coleman, Mae Scruggs, Evelyn Sims, George McDonald and Edward Fred McDonald.
He is survived by: his sister Anna Richardson; and his nieces and nephews, Ronnie Eckert (Jackie), E. J. Hamilton (Connie), Steven McDonald (Christy), Douglas Sims (Gloria), Sharon Pugh (David) and Helen Dora (Jonathan).
