It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gloria Blakeney of Gautier, Mississippi, who passed away on April 19, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Merrill Franklin Ray and Dorothy Joyce Nottle Ray; her husband Ronald Blakeney; her brother Col. Philip Ray; and her granddaughters, Amelia Joyce and Anneliesse Kim Blakeney.
She is survived by: her children, Dodie Aycock (Stan) of Gautier, MS, Jamie Albero (Sal) of Odessa, FL and Jonathan Blakeney (Elizabeth) of Vancleave, MS; her grandchildren, Amanda Aycock of Gautier, MS, Sydney Toups (Mark) of Lawton, OK, Nicholas Aycock (Sarah) of Big Point, MS, Stephanie, Luke Albero of Odessa, FL, Peter, Matthew and Hannah Blakeney of Vancleave, MS; her great grandchildren, Brooke, Reagan Verlinde, Adele, Eleanor Toups, Rayleigh, Rebekah and Matox Aycock; her sister Carol Wooley; and her sister-in-law Becky Ray. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to First Baptist Church Gautier.
