He was predeceased by: his parents, Fines Thomas and Virdie Adams Thomas; his children, Darryl Ray Thomas, Deborah Barnes and Lisa Carol Nichols; his granddaughter Kerri Nichols; and his sisters, Jewel Moore and Mildred Cockrell.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Olene Pierce Thomas; his brother Owen Thomas (Hazel) of Tupelo; his children-in-law, Renee Thomas and John Barnes; and his grandchildren, Ryan Thomas and Aaron Thomas. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
