He was predeceased by: his parents, Eustic Long and Inez Sheffield Long; his brother Johnny Long; and his brothers-in-law, Jimmy Dale Loden and William "Pookie" Sheffield.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Long (Brian) and Amy Webb (Mike); his grandchildren, Jake Long, Erin Long, Isabella Webb and Amelia Webb; his great grandchild Sheff Shackleford; and his sisters-in-law, Carolyn Long and Janet Loden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
