He is survived by: his children, Paula Hughes of Fulton, Clarissa Hughes of Fulton, Eric "Tiny" Hughes of Fulton and Zach Hughes of Sherman; the mother of his children Clara Hughes; his grandchildren, Ryan Gentry (Kayla), Madison Garrett (Holt), Taylor Watts (Tiffany Rether), Cole Hughes and Jaxon Hughes; and his great grandchildren, Hadleigh Gentry, Presley Gentry, Olivia Watts and Banks Garrett.
