He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas and Sarah Grace Biffle Fortenberry; and his son Joshua David Fortenberry. He is survived by: his wife Beverley Freeman Fortenberry; his son Matthew; his daughter-in-law Kari Fortenberry; his daughter Rebecca Fortenberry; his grandchildren, Tyler of Fulton, Nova of Fulton and Sam Fortenberry of Fulton; and his siblings, Thomas Fortenberry (Sandy) of Florence, MS, Jim Fortenberry (Chris), Sandra Fortenberry of Bartlett, TN and Alecia Wallace (Bill) of Brandon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
