He was predeceased by: his mother Jullie King Cumberland; and his daughter Clorie Carol. He is survived by: his wife Ann Barksdale Cumberland; and his children, Connie Wood, Deborah Owens, Lesia Eaves and David Lawton. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
