He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Beene and Irene Cooley (Beene); and his brother David Beane of Mantachie. He is survived by: his wife Scarlett McFerrin Beene; his children, Brandon Beene, Michael Beene and Jamie Lee Beene; his stepdaughter Jennifer Strange; his sisters, Etta Jean Beene-Vaughan and Jane Beene Robbins; his siblings-in-law, Selma Christian-Beane, Beverly Vaughan and JC Robbins; and his grandchildren, Dylan, Landon, Hunter, Memphis and Hinley.
