He was predeceased by: his wife Charlene Stringer; and his parents, Willie Stringer and Carrie Stringer. He is survived by: his son Heath Stringer of Foxworth, Mississippi; his granddaughter Carrie Stringer of Columbia, Mississippi; his brother B. B. Stringer of Foxworth, Mississippi; his nieces, Belinda Stringer of Louisiana and Jill Spears (Morris) of Louisiana; and his great-niece Makaila Gabriel of Louisiana.
