He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn Thompson; his parents, B. B. Thompson and Leone Thompson; and his brothers, Bruce Thompson and Burl Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Allen Thompson (Donna) of Foxworth and Donna Emler (Louie) of Columbia. He is also survived by four grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
