She was predeceased by: her husband James W. Ryals; her children, Irene Fornea and James C. "Buddy" Ryals; her parents, Oscar Hunt and Minnie Hunt; her siblings, Faye Statham, Mary Jean Sartin, Robert W. Hunt and Harold Louis Hunt; and her grandson Darren Todd Ryals.

She is survived by: her children, Ilene Pounds, Maxine Foxworth (Sammy), Eugene "Gene" Ryals (Sheila) and Darryl W. Ryals (Janet); her siblings, Minnie Bell Broom, Chester Hunt and George Hunt; and her son-in-law Terry Fornea. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and a host of great, and great great-grandchildren.
