He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou Brumfield; his grandson Heath Wesley; his parents, Carey Brumfield and Essie Mae Lee Brumfield; and his siblings, Jo Ann Newcomb, Dean Boyd, Madison Brumfield and Frank Brumfield.
He is survived by: his children, Nita Oglesbee (Richard), Rita Wesley (Rusty), Ferrel Brumfield (Debbie) and Darrel Brumfield (Vanya); and his brother Jerry Wayne Brumfield (Terry). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
