He was predeceased by: his wife Danna Harrell Rushing; his parents, James "Jim" Rushing and Maggie Mae Welch Rushing; and his brother James Paul Rushing. He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Anne Graham (Lester) of Forest, MS, Daniel Wayne Rushing (Molly) of Foley, AL and Christopher T. Rushing (Michelle) of Sebastopol, MS; his grandchildren, Danny Rushing, Jessi Stephens (Justin), Leslie Riebock (Ryne), Jim Rushing, Trey Rushing (Carly), Alan Graham, Victoria Rushing and Emalee Rushing; his brother Keith Rushing (Gloria); and his aunt Lucille Welch Torrent of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Redtop Union Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
