She was predeceased by: her children, Richard Buford Austin and Sue Austin Thigpen. She is survived by: her children, Jesse W. "Ace" Austin, Jr. (Dockery), Judy Austin Webb (Joe) and Terry L. Austin (Kitty); and her children-in-law, Nanette and Jim Thigpen. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she grew up with four sisters.
