It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Johnson (Forest, Mississippi), who passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hallie Johnson and Winnie Bunch Johnson; his sister Agnes Kelly; his former wife Gelene Rice Johnson; and his wife Ann Boykin Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Joy Lynn Moffatt (David) of Mize, Kenneth "Hal" Johnson (Darlene) of Jackson, Christina Powell of Forest and Carrie Rogers (Trey) of Forest; and his sisters, Janita Chrisman, Shirley Barnes, Mary Gibbons, Esther Mitchell, Nettie Welch and Larraine Buie. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Ott & Lee Funeral Home (123 E Main St, Forest, MS 39074). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at the Homewood Methodist Cemetery.
