He was predeceased by: his parents, Jenny Landrum Trest and Walter Trest; his wife Jewel Grace Trest; his siblings, Roy Trest, Joe Trest, Edna Bryant and Laura Douglas; his daughters, Karen Denise Trest and Julie Ann Trest; and his grandson Chad Harrison.
He is survived by: his son Jerry G. Trest of Forest; his siblings, Bobby Trest, Oliver Trest, Pat Gardner, Helen Trest and Mary Underhill; and his grandchildren, Angie Crocker (James), Zachary Crocker, Christopher Trest, Mark Trest, Melissa Sawyer, Valerie Harrison and Tonya Carter. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
