He was predeceased by: his father Dr. Harold Leo Russell, Sr.; his grandparents, W. J. "Red" Cochran, Sula Cochran, Manuel Lester "Rusty" Russell and Marjorie Russell; and his uncle Gene Myers.
He is survived by: his sons, Justin Cochran Russell (Jessi) and Rusty Charles Russell; his wife Elizabeth Mapp Russell; his mother Grace Russell; his siblings, Karon Martin (Steve) and Dr. Ron Russell (Christie) of Meridian; his grandchildren, Rowan Russell, Kalli Russell and Kaden Lee Russell of Taylorsville; his aunt Eula Anne Myers; his nieces and nephews, Tara Martin Whittington (Zach), Courtney Jicks of Lake Charles, LA, Russell Martin (Mary) of Brandon, Jacob Russell of Meridian and Dustin Smith (Jessica) of Hernando; his great-nephew Russell Paul Martin; and his cousins, Harry Myers (Donna), Mickey Myers (Melody) and Mickenzie Myers.
