It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma T. Bates of Forest, Mississippi, who passed away on May 16, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Van Horn Townsend; her husband George Bates, Jr.; her parent Vista Townsend; and her brothers, David, Randolph, Jack and Tommie Joe Townsend.
She is survived by: her daughters, Arlene Monk of Forest, MS and Cynthia Wicker of Pulaski, MS; her brothers, Edward Townsend of Ethel, MS and Elija Townsend of Forest, MS; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Monk, Jr., Marty Monk, Lance Wicker, William Wicker, Jr. and Brentley Wicker. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
