He is survived by: his wife Katherine; his children, John [Norma] and Carol Cox Heidelberg [Maison]; his grandchildren, Callie Cox Dixon [Ryan], Katherine Cox Dehmer [Steele], Bonney Cox Ellison [Lee], William Peaster [Anna] and Mark Peaster; and his great grandchildren, Whit Dehmer, Shaw Dehmer, Mark Cox Ellison, Dottie Dixon and Parker Ellison.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First Presbyterian Church, Jackson, Mississippi.
