He was predeceased by: his parents, Susie Kelly and Edgar Hennington; and his brother Jimmy Hennington (Jean Hennington). He is survived by: his son Dr. Roger Wirtz (Pamela Louis Wirtz) of Jackson, MS; his granddaughter Rachel Wirtz Salem; his grandson-in-law George Patrick Salem; and his great grandchild Robert Wirtz Salem of Flowood, MS..

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Hennington's name may be made to Beauregard Methodist Church or the Wounded Warriors Project.
