He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Dean Simmons and Leroy Simmons; his wife Sarah Calhoun Simmons; and his brother Charles Simmons. He is survived by: his siblings, Sylvia Shoemaker, Steve Simmons (Rose) and Bob Simmons; his children, Eddie Simmons (Beverly) and Jean Ann Skinner (Troy); and his grandchildren, Anna Von Hoene (Wes), Adam Simmons (Whitni), Ally Simmons and Sarah Jane Skinner.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Raymond Presbyterian Church (129 Port Gibson St, Raymond, MS 39154). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
