She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Taylor Nelson Boal and Fred Langley Nelson; her husband Woods B. Cavett; and her siblings, Fred Langley Nelson, Jr. and Martha Nelson Gordon.

She is survived by: her sons, Clay Cavett (Laura) of Oxford, Fred Cavett (Sandi) of Jackson and Woods Cavett (Tavia) of Madison; her grandchildren, John Cavett (Ginny) of Hoover, AL and Madeline Cavett of Oxford; her sister-in-law Caroline Bradley Cavett of Lookout Mountain, TN; and also, Harry and Wyatt Cavett of Hoover, AL.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
